We have processed a lot of food this week. We purchased a full bushel of canning tomatoes from a local farm via the Forest Farmers market (they meet at the Forest library on Saturday mornings).
I also made some spicy relish from cucs given to me by a friend and of course we will be canning some apple sauce (it is cooking down now in the crock pot). I picked beans and was able to do a full quart in tomato sauce. We usually eat them fresh, but I like to know I will have garden produce over the winter.
Of course now I am totally exhausted… Time for little caesars!
