why I love the Dollar Tree

I love the Dollar Tree. Every week we go to the public library and after we stop at the Dollar Tree which is right in the same shopping center. The kids look forward to it, but I love it.

fire roasted red peppers from the Dollar Tree

The thing is, among the cheap toys, plastic kitchen ware and holiday decor they carry some ‘gourmet’ food products that you wouldn’t suspect. This is one of my favorites, the fire roasted red peppers for yes, $1. Try buying those at your regular grocery store for $1. I don’t think so…
Other favorite staples of mine are:

  • regular red peppers in a jar
  • pepperoncini peppers
  • can of organic diced tomatoes
  • corn chips
  • movie theater candy just before a flick at the dollar theater
  • balloons on birthdays
  • yardley lavender soap
  • 1 lb white beans

What’s on your list of favorites from the dollar store?

I too, buy yardley soap there. I will though, be on the watch for the other gourmet food items;)

  2. I’ll have to try it someday… I like the roasted red peppers idea for sure!

I think the peppers were on sale for a dollar because that jar is only half full…
